Notes | ||
The biggest risk when drafting Kawhi Leonard is his load management. Without suffering any major injuries, Leonard suited up for just 57 games last year. When he plays, you're getting a player that'll churn out top-10 scoring performances almost every night as well as top-five value in steals. In addition, his 7.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game were good for 33rd and 36th in the league, respectively. He deserves to be picked in the first round, but make sure to have someone to plug in for his inevitable healthy scratches. Dave Kluge - FantasyPros | We haven't seen Kevin Durant play in over a year and have yet to see how he'll fare with teammate Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. It's very likely that Kevin Durant can return to form and average high-20's in the scoring department again, but the risk here should push him into the second round. In category-scoring leagues, he's a bit more valuable as his field goal and free throw percentage won't hurt you. We haven't seen him average over 6.8 rebounds per game since the 2016-2017 player so you're banking on him being a top scorer again when you draft him. Dave Kluge - FantasyPros | |
Durant is one of the most challenging players to project this season. We haven't seen the 13-year veteran in an NBA game since he ruptured his Achilles tendon in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals. When he's on the floor he's been a model of consistency as one of the best pure scorers of his era, averaging 27 points per game for his career. It remains to be seen how he'll look returning from the serious injury and leading the new-look Nets alongside Kyrie Irving. Aaron Larson - FantasyPros |
