Notes
I have my concerns about Zion Williamson, who carries a cumulative injury history. He has played only 85 games through his first three NBA seasons, yet signed a massive five-year contract extension. The last time we saw the 6-foot-6, 284 lb forward, he was posting 27 PPG and 7.2 RPG. However, with the development of Brandon Ingram, the addition of CJ McCollum, and his annual weight concerns, is that production we will never see again?
Mike Randle - BettingPros
Jaren Jackson Jr. underwent foot surgery at the end of June, and will be sidelined 4-6 months. However, he is expected to make a full recovering and return around December or January. Jackson was a catalyst for Memphis in the playoffs, especially when Ja Morant was unavailable due to injury. Jackson posted 15.4 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and an impressive 2.5 BPG throughout the postseason. The most encouraging sign was his 37.5% 3P on a healthy 6.0 attempts per postseason contest. Jackson could be on the verge of a breakout season, but the surgery has suppressed his preseason fantasy ranking.
