Seth Curry starts, Mavericks win again

Winning is becoming more and more of a common theme these days for the Dallas Mavericks. Seth Curry was inserted into the lineup three games ago when Andrew Bogut went down with an injury, and the Mavericks won. And then they kept on winning. Curry has now started three games in a row and the Mavericks have won all three. Tuesday night against the Chicago Bulls, Curry scored 18 points, on 7-for-10 shooting, including three of them from beyond the arc. He was also responsible for two rebounds, two assists and two steals in the win.

Fantasy Impact:

Perhaps coach Rick Carlisle has found the winning formula after a miserable start to the season had many Mavericks fans considering tanking the rest of the way. But now that the Mavericks are almost entirely healthy and Seth Curry is starting, perhaps they are on to something in Dallas. If Curry is still available in your league, you may want to scoop him up. If anything, he may be worth a short term flier while the Mavericks are hot. He has not done anything yet to indicate he is a long term option, but if the Mavericks continue to string together wins, Curry’s value will rise. In daily fantasy, he is nothing more than a cheap value play for tournaments.
