Robert Covington hit a clutch game-winning three-pointer on Friday night, as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Portland Trail Blazers by the final score of 93-92. Covington scored 22 points in a team-high 34 minutes on 8-of-17 shots made, including shooting 5-of-12 from the three-point line. He also grabbed six rebounds, had one steal, and blocked one shot.

Fantasy Impact:

Covington's game-winning shot was another example of how exciting games have been for this 76ers team this season, and the arrow is definitely pointing upwards, as they continue to make their playoff push. Covington stepped up in a big way after Joel Embiid left the game in the third quarter with a left knee contusion. He has now scored 20 or more fantasy points in three straight games, so he is definitely heating up. Nevertheless, Covington's season has been up and down, as his performances have been inconsistent. Inserting him into your DFS or season-long lineups is risky, as you don't know which player will show up each night. The 76ers play the Atlanta Hawks on the road on Saturday night, so if you choose to roll with Covington, do so with caution, especially if Embiid misses the game.
