Karl-Anthony Towns scores 32 points in a win on Sunday evening

Karl-Anthony Towns played 40 minutes and scored 32 points in a win against the Nuggets on Sunday evening. He shot 13-of-19 from the floor, grabbed 12 boards, and rounded out his final line with seven assists, four blocks and a steal.

Fantasy Impact:

We're at the point where Towns is a must play in every conceivable fantasy format, especially when Ricky Rubio isn't playing. Coach Tom Thibodeau has admitted that when Rubio is out, the offense runs through Towns. The Timberwolves have won five of their last seven games, and they are very much still in the Western Conference playoff picture with a lot of basketball yet to be played. Expect Towns to bring it every night as long as the Timberwolves are in playoff contention. He comes from a culture of winning and has played for winning teams his entire life. Losing is unacceptable for Towns, and he will do all that he can every game to will his team to a victory. Performances like what you saw on Sunday are not an outlier, they are the new normal.
