Jahlil Okafor and the Philadelphia 76ers lost a nail-biter on Saturday night against the New York Knicks by the final score of 110-109. Okafor had a monster game, finishing with a team-high 28 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. He also added one assist to go along with his double-double.
Fantasy Impact:
Okafor was rumored to be traded in the last few weeks leading up to the NBA trade deadline, but was ultimately not moved. With other players traded instead, coupled with Joel Embiid continuing to miss time due to injury, playing time will now come in bunches for Okafor, as the Sixers appear to want to see what type of ceiling he has. This is great news for fantasy players, and for that reason alone, he is worth rostering in all season-long formats, as he could prove to be a difference-maker for teams looking to make a championship run to fantasy glory. Furthermore, Okafor's price on most DFS websites is still very affordable, so taking a chance on him won't cost much.
