Kevin Durant (knee) is out indefinitely with MCL sprain

by Sean Fitzpatrick | Suns Correspondent | Wed, Mar 1st 10:11am EST

Kevin Durant suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and a tibial bone bruise and will be out indefinitely. Durant will likely miss the rest of the regular season but the hopes are for him to be back for the playoffs. Matt Barnes will be signed in a corresponding move to help fill the void. Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Ian Clark and Patrick McCaw will all see more minutes. (Warriors PR on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Durant will likely miss the rest of the regular season and is now a drop candidate in re-draft leagues. Matt Barnes is worth a speculative add as well as Andre Iguodala. The remaining "Big 3" all get a boost while Zaza Pachulia gets a boost as well in terms of boards. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners who won't have their best player in the playoff run.
