Klay Thompson scores 16 points from 20 shot attempts against Washington

On the court for 38 minutes in Monday night's road loss to the Wizards, Klay Thompson went 5-for-20, including 3-for-13 from three-point range. He also pulled down three rebounds, and contributed two assists.

Fantasy Impact:

In addition to losing Kevin Durant at the start of the game, the Warriors were playing catch-up to a Wizards team that put up 40 points in the first quarter. This most likely prompted Thompson to take more shots than he would like, or usually be comfortable with. His 25 percent shooting rate was one of his worst performances of the season and follows an extended period of above average shooting. However, his 20 shot attempts equaled Stephen Curry and doubled the next closet player. With Durant out indefinitely, you can imagine the Warriors will revert to the Splash brothers offense that made them such a force to contend with last year. Thompson's ceiling should rise and he becomes a must-start in all formats.
