Dwyane Wade goes down with an elbow injury

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Thu, Mar 16th 8:35am EDT

The Bulls were playing a tough game against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, but ended up losing 98-91. Unfortunately, Chicago also looks to have lost Dwyane Wade who suffered an elbow injury in the third quarter. Wade tried to play through the injury but came out of the game in the fourth quarter due to pain. He should be receiving an MRI on Thursday. If Wade misses significant time, the Bulls will struggle to fight for that last playoff spot. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

This is a big blow to fantasy owners as Wade has been a top-75 fantasy player. Most season-long leagues are in the thick of the playoffs, which could cause disaster for Wade owners. Michael Carter-Williams and Denzel Valentine would likely see a bump in minutes and usage with Wade out. Temporary replacements for Wade could be Tyler Ulis, Jeremy Lamb or Tony Snell.
