Jonas Valanciunas scores two points against Miami

by Dennis Clausen | Pelicans Correspondent | Fri, Mar 24th 11:20am EDT

Despite the Raptors getting the win over the Miami Heat 101-84, Jonas Valanciunas had a game to forget. Playing 21 minutes, Valanciunas scored a meager two points and grabbed eight boards. Next up for Toronto will be a Saturday night matchup against the Mavs in Dallas.

Fantasy Impact:

One would think that Valanciunas would have been in store for a more productive night considering that Serge Ibaka was sitting due to suspension but this was not the case. Valanciunas has been playing rough recently, only averaging five points and around six rebounds per game over the last two games. Valanciunas produced a double-double in his last outing against Dallas but with the streaky production that Valanciunas has been showing all season, it's hard to take him seriously. Keep him out of your lineup unless you want to take a risk in DFS tournaments in hopes that you will separate yourself from the pack with a solid outing from Valanciunas.
