Kris Dunn played 35 minutes off the bench and scored 11 points in an overtime loss to the Lakers on Friday evening. He made 5-of-12 shots from the floor, grabbed seven rebounds, and rounded out his final line with two assists, three steals and two blocks.

Fantasy Impact:

If you played Dunn in any DFS contests, congratulations on getting 6x value out of him at his low price. Dunn found himself a lot of minutes on Friday mostly due to matchups, as he was often the third or fourth guard on the court against the small Lakers lineups. Still, he was a pest on defense and was aggressive on offense even if his shot wasn't falling consistently. Coach Tom Thibodeau considers Dunn a future piece for the Timberwolves, and there are a lot of things to like about his game. Whether he can become a consistent fantasy asset remains to be seen, but nights like Friday show what kind of a contributor he can be in a lot of fantasy categories. Right now, he's a player to root for rather than own, as he's been wildly inconsistent and is nowhere on the Rookie of the Year radar. Time will tell with Dunn, but you should probably be letting someone else acquire him before aggressively buying.
