Andrew Wiggins scores 20 points in a loss in Portland on Saturday

Andrew Wiggins played only 32 minutes and scored 20 points in a loss to the Trail Blazers on Saturday. He hit 8-of-19 attempts from the field, 4-of-7 shots from the free-throw line, and added two assists and a steal to his final line.

Fantasy Impact:

The 32 minutes played stood out immediately, and it looked to be near a season-low, although he did play only 31 minutes in Minnesota's first game this month against the Jazz. Wiggins had played 44 minutes in an overtime loss the night before, so it looks like this was back-to-back rest related more than anything. Playing time aside, Wiggins has now dipped below his career average in free throw percentage from .760 to .758. The drop is slight, but it's worth noticing, especially with a player like Wiggins who can create contact and get to the line. The Timberwolves creep further and further away from the eighth seed in the Western Conference, but that doesn't mean you should discount Wiggins down the stretch. He finished strong last season when Minnesota was well out of contention, and he should do the same this season. He should still be on your radar for DFS contests despite the Timberwolves being virtually out of the playoff race.
