Russell Westbrook gets 36th triple-double

by Alex Murray | Clippers Correspondent | Mon, Mar 27th 2:07pm EDT

Russell Westbrook scored a game-high 39 points on 54 percent from the field while going 3-for-9 from deep and just 10-for-16 from the charity stripe in the Thunder's 137-125 loss to the Rockets on Sunday. Westbrook also dished 13 dimes and snagged 11 rebounds in a game-high 38 minutes of floor-time.

Fantasy Impact:

Westbrook did everything in his power to bring the Thunder a win on Sunday, as he contributed heavily to a run that brought the deficit from 28 down to just seven late in the game. Russ' performance represented his 20th career 30-point triple-double, which ties him with Lebron James for the third-most such games in history. Westbrook's team isn't as good as James Harden's but there is no doubt the Thunder guard outplayed Harden on Sunday - not to mention throughout the season. The former Bruin is only five triple-doubles short of tying Oscar Robertson's single-season record while also becoming the only player other than the Big O to average a triple-double throughout the season. How can he not be the MVP?
