Carmelo Anthony scores 21 points in win over the Pistons

by Craig Rosenkrantz | Tue, Mar 28th 10:04am EDT

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points, had three rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes in a 109-95 win over the Pistons.

Fantasy Impact:

Carmelo Anthony on the season is averaging 22.7 points, 2.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds a game. Anthony missed the Knicks' previous two games with a sore left knee, but his heavy workload Monday indicate that the injury is safely behind him. While Anthony posted a quality line against the Pistons, his fantasy production has tailed off this month. His 18 points per game in March is over a seven point decrease from his combined average in January and February and his shooting percentage has dropped off over six percent in the same timeframe. Anthony is often a fairly frustrating fantasy player to own relative to his talent, and his recent struggles are coming at the absolute worst time with less than three weeks remaining in the season.
