Joakim Noah out with knee injury and suspension

Fantasy Impact:

According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Noah said team doctors cleared him to practice after it was initially feared that the arthroscopic knee surgery he required a month earlier would keep him out for the remainder of the season. The Knicks had likely planned to shut Noah down in order to let him focus on getting his conditioning in order for the start of training camp, but after it was revealed last weekend that the center tested positive for a prohibited substance and would be on tap for a suspension, the organization now presumably wants him to serve the games as soon as possible in the midst of a non-contending season. Noah will have to receive official clearance from NBA doctors before he's able to begin the suspension, but if he's able to start his clock with Wednesday's game, he would still be sidelined for the first 12 contests of 2017-18.
