Dewayne Dedmon will decline his player option
by Sean Fitzpatrick | 76ers Correspondent | Tue, May 30th 2:44pm EDT
Dewayne Dedmon will decline his player option for next season at a modest $3 million and become an unrestricted free agent. Dedmon is a plus defender who can also rebound and did average a career-best 5.1 points per game this past season. It's a smart move for Dedmon who should grab at least double his player option on the open market. (Yahoo Sports)
Fantasy Impact:
Dedmon is likely headed elsewhere next season leaving Pau Gasol to start next season at center with David Bertans seeing more minutes as well as David Lee. Gasol was a major bust in fantasy leagues this past season so expect him to be a late flier or undrafted player in re-draft leagues.
