Nene Hilario remains a free agent

by Sean Fitzpatrick | Sat, Jul 1st 1:16pm EDT

Nene will remain an unrestricted free agent due to the new CBA's over-38 rule. Nene agreed to a four-year, $15 million deal late Friday night as the deal would've been approved in the old CBA. However, any players over 36 are now allowed to sign a deal that long (four years or more). Nene is 38 years old and that means he would have to sign a three-year deal worth around $10 million, according to ESPN.com's Marc Spears. It's a wacky situation but we should have a deal in place at some point this weekend. (Marc Spears on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Nene seems likely to re-sign with the Rockets which would be another boost for their roster after signing Zhou Qi also on Saturday. Nene will remain a role player but showed DFS potential last season.
