Isaiah Thomas (hip) more serious injury than originally diagnosed

by Sean Fitzpatrick | Cavaliers Correspondent | Fri, Sep 8th 8:55pm EDT

Isaiah Thomas is dealing with a little more than a tear to his hip while also suffering from a loss of cartilage and some arthritis in the hip. Thomas could be forced to have surgery by the Cavaliers and he would miss the entire 2017 season. Expect the team to try to use therapy as much as possible so Thomas can be ready for this season. Fantasy Impact:

Thomas' fantasy value takes a hit with this news and should be pushed down, re-draft leagues. The Celtics got the better end of this deal if Thomas has to miss some time due to the hip injury.
