Jameer Nelson will be waived by the Nuggets on Monday after the team signed forward Richard Jefferson. With Will Barton injured, the team felt the need to grab another wing player. Jamal Murray will start at PG this season. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Murray is expected to take the next step while Emmanuel Mudiay will back up Murray this season. With Barton injured, Gary Harris, Wilson Chandler, Richard Jefferson, Juan Hernangomez and Jamal Murray see a boost.
