Ben Simmons scores 11 points, logs a double-double in home loss

Ben Simmons had a double-double and played a team-high 36 minutes on Friday night, logging 11 points on 4-of-11 shots made from the field and grabbing 11 boards. He also dished out five assists and had one steal.

Fantasy Impact:

Simmons seems to be rounding into shape and looks good to start the season. The rookie missed all of the 2016-2017 season due to injury and is looking to make his mark on this young 76ers team that has playoff aspirations. It's still too early to know for sure how Simmons will contribute for fantasy teams this season, but he is an uber-talented wing player who has a tremendously high ceiling. So it wouldn't be a total surprise if he got really hot and became an automatic play the rest of the way. At this point, Simmons is probably a better DFS option with high upside than he is for your season-long lineups, as you don't really know what you'll get on any given night.
