Rudy Gay leads Spurs in scoring in loss to Pelicans

Rudy Gay shot an efficient 8-for-14 including 2-for-3 from beyond the arc to lead the Spurs with 19 points. This marked the first time in six games he made a three-pointer. Gay also chipped in with three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 26 minutes of action. This is the first time in six games he's finished in double-digit scoring and the most points he's scored in eight games.
Fantasy Impact:
Gay will rarely lead the Spurs in scoring as the sixth man coming off the bench. However, a night like this was due for him. He was coming off of four straight games in single-digit scoring so a slump buster was on the horizon. Look for Gay to continue to stay on track in Saturday's matchup with the Hornets.
