Zach LaVine likely to make Bulls debut in early January

Zach LaVine (knee) won't travel with the Bulls on their upcoming road trip. Instead, he'll stay behind to practice with the Windy City Bulls, Chicago's G League affiliate. While the Bulls don't have an exact date for LaVine's return, coach Fred Hoiberg said that "He needs to string together a good 10 days of practice to where he's not going every other day... He's still going to be on the every-other-day program for at least another 10 days to two weeks." This almost guarantees LaVine will not play in December, and would likely return to the Bulls in early January, barring a setback. (Chicago Tribune)

Fantasy Impact:

While the return date keeps getting pushed back, it's clear that LaVine isn't ready to make his return. If your season-long league has an IR spot, he needs to be added immediately. Once he returns, LaVine will probably play 12 to 18 minutes initially. Once he's back to full speed, LaVine should take over the starting shooting guard spot from Justin Holiday and play a significant role in the Bulls' offense.
