Rudy Gay grabs eight rebounds in loss to Rockets

Rudy Gay finished Friday night's 124-109 blowout loss to the Rockets with seven points on 2-for-6 shooting, including 1-for-2 from beyond the arc. Gay grabbed eight rebounds and added two assists and one block to his stat line over 18 minutes of action. This was the first time in six games Gay failed to reach double-figures in scoring. His rebounding has been solid grabbing at least five rebounds in nine straight games.
Fantasy Impact:
Gay remains the sixth man and leader of the second unit for the Spurs. He will remain a fantasy player with double-double upside on any given night. He's having a really strong December averaging 15 points and seven rebounds, which is a big uptick from his season averages of 13 points and five rebounds. Even in a blowout loss Gay can contribute and will be given opportunity to do so. Look for Gay to continue his strong month of December in Saturday's matchup with the Mavericks.
