Pau Gasol explodes with his fifth double-double of the season

Pau Gasol scored 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting including 1-for-3 from beyond the arc and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds in Wednesday night's 93-91 win over the Trailblazers. Gasol added five assists and two blocks to his impressive stat line over 33 minutes of action. This is the first time in 12 games he's exceeded 20 points, and the first time in six games he's reached double-digits in scoring.
Fantasy Impact:
Whoa, where did this come from?! Gasol found some kind of fountain of youth in Portland Wednesday night. This was easily his best performance of the season and it's not close. It also came on the heels of Gasol scoring a combined 12 points in the previous four games, combined! Granted, Kawhi Leonard was held out of the lineup, which will always increase Gasol's production but nobody could have seen this coming. This was definitely an anomaly for him so don't expect games like this going forward, but he is playable in games where Leonard isn't in the lineup.
