Justin Jackson plays 24 minutes against Thunder

by Jason Micklewright | Tue, Jan 16th 11:43am EST

Justin Jackson played for 24 minutes in the Kings 95-88 loss to the Thunder on Monday. Unfortunately, it only translated to three points, one rebound, two assists and four steals. Jackson’s low scoring was the result of poor shooting on the limited attempts he did have, 1–for-5 from the field and 1-for-4 on three-point attempts. His four steals were noteworthy though, and may earn him more playing time.

Fantasy Impact:

Jackson was recalled from the G-League several days ago, along with George Papagiannis. Coach Joerger has announced he will be resting two veterans each game, and Jackson’s playing time on Monday was partly fueled by Vince Carter sitting out. The Kings will likely want to see what they have in Jackson by giving him meaningful minutes. But unless you have a super-deep roster, he’s not worth picking up unless he does something impressive with that playing time.
