Nerlens Noel (thumb) not set to return until February at earliest

Coach Rick Carlisle said before Tuesday's game against the Denver Nuggets that February is the earliest Nerlens Noel would be able to play again. (Earl K. Sneed on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Based on Nerlens Noel's timetable since having his cast removed early in January, these comments from coach Carlisle gives fantasy owners some sort of window as to when Noel might see the court again. The Mavericks are also likely receiving inquiries regarding Noel's availability with the NBA trade deadline approaching. Fantasy owners who have held onto to Noel should continue to monitor the situation in Dallas. As for owners with an empty I.R. spot, Noel would not make a bad stash depending on his potential landing spot if he does end up being traded by the Mavericks.
