Russell Westbrook stars in a weak Thunder opener

Fantasy Impact:
Westbrook's 38 points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals showed that he is still a top fantasy basketball option. He also only turned the ball over twice in 33 minutes and his impact on the Thunder team was apparent. Unfortunately, he was the only player that was effective at all for the team and they struggled in the 17 point loss. Even in his strong performance, Westbrook only shot 41.7% on 2 pointers, down from a 47.5% average over the past three years. Westbrook will continue to get a high volume of shots with Kevin Durant out for the next month and he needs to focus on his efficiency. He is stil a top-5 or top-10 option, but there needs to be a focus on efficiency to maintain his quality statistical performance when Durant returns.
