Dejounte Murray promoted to starting lineup Sunday

by Christopher Berg | Hawks Correspondent | Mon, Jan 22nd 9:26am EST

Dejounte Murray scored eight points on 3-for-8 shooting in Sunday's 94-86 loss to the Pacers. Murray added seven rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals to his stat line in 28 minutes of action. He did commit four turnovers which are his most since December 20th. He's now gone three straight games grabbing at least seven rebounds.

Fantasy Impact:

Murray drew the start in place of Tony Parker, who was not injured. It remains to be seen if this is a changing of the guard or just coach Popovich trying to inject some life into the lineup. It's clear when Murray starts and plays 25 or more minutes he can certainly be fantasy relevant. Monitor this situation and if it becomes clear Murray is the new starting point guard for the Spurs he could provide high upside for fantasy rosters.
