Jimmy Butler leaves game early with knee injury

by Brad Richter | Heat Correspondent | Sat, Feb 24th 11:45am EST

Jimmy Butler suffered a non-contact injury to his knee on Friday night against the Rockets. He left the game in the third quarter finishing with 10 points, five rebounds and three assists. He will have an MRI on Saturday but there is optimism that Butler may have avoided an ACL tear. (David Aldridge on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Butler will surely miss Saturday's game against this old team, the Bulls and maybe more depending on the results of the MRI. The Wolves start a three-game West Coast road trip on Monday before returning home on Thursday, March 8th. Butler owners should hold him until news of the MRI is released before determining how to proceed. Nemanja Bjelica will likely enter the starting lineup and is an excellent DFS option on Saturday. Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Jeff Teague and Jamal Crawford will also gain usage for as long as Butler is out.
