Anthony Davis left Wednesday’s game in the third quarter due to a sprained left ankle and did not return. X-rays were negative, and he will likely undergo an MRI sometime Thursday according to Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry. (Nola.com)
Fantasy Impact:
This is the second straight game Davis has had to exit due to injury, however, he did return to action on Tuesday against the Clippers after sustaining a rib injury. Fantasy owners need to keep a close eye on Davis’ status going forward. If the results of the MRI are negative, he may be good to go or he could possibly still miss a game or so as a precaution. New Orleans’ next game is Friday at home against the Wizards.
