Ben Simmons flirts with triple-double in first playoff game

by Brad Richter | Nets Correspondent | Sun, Apr 15th 4:15pm EDT

Ben Simmons scored 17 points with 14 assists and nine rebounds falling just short of a triple-double in his first career playoff game. Simmons went 5-for-13 from the field and 7-for-10 from the line while also chipping in two steals in the Sixers blowout Game 1 victory over the Heat 130-103.

Fantasy Impact:

Simmons and the Sixers continued their red-hot play from the end of the regular season into the playoffs. Simmons averaged 14.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists against the Heat in four regular-season meetings and continued his strong play to start off the playoff series. With Joel Embiid not expected to play in Game 2 on Monday, Simmons will continue to lead the offense and be an excellent DFS option.
