Bam Adebayo leads Heat with double-double in preseason win over Pelicans

by Robert Streit | Heat Correspondent | Wed, Oct 10th 10:59pm EDT

Bam Adebayo posted a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting from the field in the Heat's 140-128 win over the Pelicans in their second to last preseason game.

Fantasy Impact:

Adebayo got the start at center over Hassan Whiteside who rested and did not play. Hopefully this is a sign of more of what's to come from Adebayo this year as he enters his second season with the Heat. As a rookie, Adebayo averaged 6.9 points per game and 5.5 rebounds off the bench. He'll likely continue to serve as the primary backup center for the Heat, but could see his minutes go up and role expand if injuries to Kelly Olynyk or Hassan Whiteside occur. Either way Adebayo is a valuable asset off the bench and should provide solid scoring and rebounding for fantasy purposes.
