Kevon Looney posts double-double in season opening win

by Alex Murray | Warriors Correspondent | Wed, Oct 17th 4:50am EDT

Kevon Looney scored 10 points on 46 percent shooting from the field during Golden State's 108-100 win over the Thunder. Looney added 10 boards, two assists, a pair of blocks and a steal in 18 minutes off the pine.

Fantasy Impact:

Looney didn't get the start at center on opening day but he did his best to convince Steve Kerr and the staff that he should be their guy at the five going forward. Looney played nearly ten minutes less than the starter, Damian Jones, and still managed to out-rebound him 10-3. Looney also stuffed the stat sheet on Tuesday night and if he continues his campaign for a starting job like this, he could be a very intriguing value play in many DFS formats.
