Zach Collins goes crazy with six rejections in win over Lakers

by Alex Murray | Spurs Correspondent | Fri, Oct 19th 9:50am EDT

Zach Collins scored six points on 75 percent shooting from the field during Portland's 128-119 win over the Lakers on Thursday night. Collins added six rebounds, six blocks and two dimes in 26 minutes off the pine.

Fantasy Impact:

After seeing over 25 minutes just six times in 66 games last season, Collins came out on opening day and refused to let his coach take him out, posting an eerie 6-6-6 line on the night. Collins was truly devilish in his defensive efforts against the Lakers, terrorizing LA down low with a whopping six blocks throughout the game while his 26 minutes of floor time were a top five mark on the Blazers last night. The former Gonzaga Bulldog will see big minutes like this often : his combination of size, length and agility make him essential for the Blazers to keep up when teams go to smaller, faster lineups as they will often do in the modern NBA.
