Dwight Howard (back) will miss at least two months

Dwight Howard will undergo a surgical procedure to alleviate pain from a glute injury and is expected to be sidelined up to two months. Thomas Bryant has been starting in his place and we expect to see more Markieff Morris at the five. Ian Mahinmi and Jason Smith should also crack the rotation. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This is a major blow for fantasy owners who drafted Howard as he was expected to really take a step forward with a solid supporting cast around him of John Wall and Bradley Beal. So far, Howard hasn't been productive and now will miss significant time to a body part which has caused him to miss significant time in the past. Fantasy owners are probably dumping Howard instead of stashing him on your IR spot.
