Hassan Whiteside to miss game at Phoenix for birth of first child

by Robert Streit | Heat Correspondent | Thu, Dec 6th 2:51pm EST

Hassan Whiteside will miss Friday night's game at Phoenix due to the birth of his first child. He is expected to rejoin the team at some point during their six game West Coast road trip, but his status for Saturday's game against the Clippers is still unknown. Fantasy Impact:

With Whiteside out, look for Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk to split playing time at center. Whiteside has started 22 games for the Heat so far this season and is averaging 13.5 points on 52.3 percent shooting from the field, 13.7 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks in 26.9 minutes. Once he returns look for him to continue to be a monster on the glass and one of the league's most dominant interior defenders.
