Lou Williams misses second half with left hamstring injury in win vs Suns

by David Wyze | Tue, Dec 11th 12:54am EST

Lou Williams left in the first half and didn't return due to a sore left hamstring injury in Monday's 123-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns in overtime. He left with seven points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field, 1-for-1 shooting from three, four rebounds and two assists in 11:33 of play.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams is expected to be evaluated tomorrow but due to the lingering nature of a hamstring injury it should probably be assumed that he will likely sit out tomorrow night's game against the league-leading Toronto Raptors on the second night of a back-to-back. Milos Teodosic played 12-plus minutes (his most in six games) in his absence, he will probably be the biggest beneficiary of a minutes spike if Lou misses time but he is not worth rostering until he proves he can be consistent, which is very doubtful. The Clippers have the depth and versatility to absorb a healthy portion of Williams' absence for a game or two. Expect more scoring opportunities for the starters.
