Furkan Korkmaz earns starting nod, scores 18

by Adam Udinski | Wed, Dec 12th 10:00pm EST

Starting in place of an injured Jimmy Butler (groin) Furkan Korkmaz scored 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting (including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc) as the Sixers fell at home for only the second time all season, losing to Brooklyn 127-124 on Wednesday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Korkmaz added six assists, three rebounds and three steals in the first start of his young career. He has shot the ball very well when given the opportunity as evidenced by his career-high-tying 18 he scored in this contest. If Butler is forced to miss more time, look for Korkmaz to continue seeing significant playing time as a member of Philadelphia's starting five.
