Mike Scott scores eight but commits painful defensive mistake late in loss

by Adam Udinski | Wed, Mar 6th 11:19pm EST

Mike Scott scored eight points and added five rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench for Philadelphia Wednesday night, but a late defensive miscue which led to a layup-and-foul for Chicago's Zach LaVine will be what's remembered about Scott's performance in the Sixers' loss to the Bulls.

Fantasy Impact:

Scott has played incredibly well of late for the Sixers, contributing a lot of minutes off the bench against the opposition's big men in the absence of Joel Embiid and Boban Marjanovich, both out with knee injuries. Scott's three-point shooting in particular has been clutch of late. He only shot 2-for-5 on Wednesday, but a huge defensive mistake like the one he made with less than four seconds to play could ultimately cost him precious playing time in coach Brett Brown's already-stacked rotation once Embiid and Marjanovich return.
