Jahlil Okafor's option picked up for the 2019-2020 season

Jahlil Okafor's gradual progress has been rewarded as the Pelicans have picked up his second-year club option for next season. He averaged 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 59 games last year. (Malika Andrews on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
While he may not be the starting center next season, having him on the team at least adds some insurance at the position with Anthony Davis gone. The Pelicans will likely add some big men tonight in the draft, but Okafor, still only 23, will continue to try to shed his bust label and be a productive player for a team in a rapid rebuild.
