The Memphis Grizzlies drafted Murray State PG Ja Morant with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Fantasy Impact:

Morant should contribute right away with the Grizzlies dealing Point Guard Michael Conley earlier in the week. He did undergo knee surgery on June 1st, but should be back for the start of summer camp. Morant is one of the best athletes in the draft and will be a key part of the Grizzlies franchise along with Jaren Jackson Jr. He averaged 24.5 points, 10.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 5.7 rebounds per game for Murray State. Morant will be one of the top options for the Grizzlies, and could be in the mix as a top-50 overall pick in fantasy.
