Giannis Antetokounmpo named 2018-19 NBA MVP

Giannis Antetokounmpo was awarded the 2018-19 NBA MVP award.

Fantasy Impact:

Although Paul George was a finalist for the award, the MVP was clearly a two-horse race between Antetokounmpo and last year’s MVP, James Harden. Harden averaged a ridiculous 36.1 points per game and led the league in scoring, but it was Antetokounmpo’s gaudy overall numbers that ultimately gave him the edge. He averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.5 blocks while leading the Bucks to the best record in the NBA, at 60-22.
