Fantasy Impact:

There have been rumors of Kyrie Irving signing with the Nets. If this scenario happens, the Nets would let Russell sign elsewhere. The front office didn't want to take any chances, opting to make Russell a restricted free agent. Russell averaged 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 81 games for the Nets last season.
