Kevon Looney to stay with Golden State

by Kaiyo Funaki | Warriors Correspondent | Mon, Jul 1st 8:15pm EDT

Kevon Looney has re-signed with the Warriors for $15M across three years. Looney was a first-round draft pick out of UCLA by the Warriors in 2015. (Shams Charania on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

With Jordan Bell signing with the Wolves, the Grizzlies acquiring Andre Iguodala, DeMarcus Cousins unlikely to return, and Shaun Livingston expected to retire, Looney should play a significant role with the Warriors. His consistent production remained steady during the playoffs even as he dealt with a rib injury. Looney will likely improve upon his career line of 4.5 PPG and 3.8 RPG, as head coach Steve Kerr will have to rely on the big man to chew up more minutes.
