Kyle Lowry signs one-year extensions with Toronto

by Daniel Martinez-Recinos | Raptors Correspondent | Mon, Oct 7th 5:56pm EDT

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has inked a one-year extension for $31 million, Adrian Wojnarowski reports. (Adrian Wojnarowski)

Fantasy Impact:

Lowry enters the 2019-2020 NBA season as the de facto leader of the 2018-2019 reigning champions, the Toronto Raptors. There were rumors circulating earlier today that the veteran guard was willing to hold out if he didn’t receive a suitable extension offer, but now those rumors can easily be put to rest. Lowry is coming off a 2018-2019 campaign where he averaged 14.2 points, 4.8 rebounds & a career-high 8.7 assists across 34 minutes in 65 games. Lowry, now with a shiny security blanket, seems poised to lead the Raptors in defending their title this season, despite the departure of Kawhi Leonard.
