Bulls VP John Paxson hopeful Derrick Rose can play again this season

Rose is set to undergo surgery on the meniscus tear in his right knee on Friday morning by Dr. Brian Cole. Bulls vice president John Paxson said this on Thursday: "The hope is that (Rose) will play this season." (K.C. Johnson on Twitter)

The timetable will certainly be revealed in the coming days if not first thing tomorrow morning with general manager Gar Forman set to address the media at 10:30 AM CT. Bulls fans and fantasy owners will be crossing their fingers with the hope that Rose can make it back for the playoffs.
