Joel Embiid went for 26 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 11-14 FT), 21 rebounds, one assist and a block over 35 minutes in the 76ers' 119-113 loss to the Wizards on Thursday.
Embiid was an absolute monster in the paint Thursday, going for the second-highest rebounding total of his career and his highest of the 2019-20 campaign. The 21 boards came at the expense of the Thomas Bryant-less Wizards, who went small with Mo Wagner and rookie Rui Hachimura in the frontcourt. Neither were a match for the All-NBA center. Embiid's averages are down across most statistical categories this season, but he's still capable of detonating for massive lines like this at any time.
