James Harden pours in 55 points against Cleveland

by Zachary Hanshew | Clippers Correspondent | Wed, Dec 11th 9:28pm EST

James Harden totaled 55 points (20-34 FG, 10-18 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight assists, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks across 41 minutes in the Rockets' 116-110 win over the Cavs on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

For most any other NBA player, it would have been a career night, but for Harden -- not so much. These kind of massive scoring explosions have become the norm for the Beard, as he compiled the 22nd 50-point scoring game of his career, trailing Kobe Bryant (25) for third all time. He's also on pace to pass Kobe for third all time in 50-point games in a single season. Bryant had 10 in 2006-07, and Harden has four already through 23 games in 2019-20. The Houston phenom is inching closer and closer to a 40-point scoring average in his 11th season, piling up 38.7 per night thus far. What's scariest about his 55-pointer is that he only got to the line for five free throws, showcasing just how lethal he is all over the court.
