Garrison Mathews managed 28 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 12-13 FT) and four rebounds across 29 minutes in the Wizards’ 123-105 win over the Heat on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
After spending the beginning of the year with the Capital City Go-Go, Mathews has now appeared in nine straight games for the Wizards. Monday, he exploded for career highs in points and minutes, and the undrafted rookie out of Lipscomb has made the most of his limited opportunities. With so many injuries plaguing the Wiz, Mathews should continue to see a role in the rotation, though that will shrink when Bradley Beal gets back on the floor.
