Luke Kornet fills in for injury and leads team in minutes on Wednesday

by Dave Kluge | Celtics Correspondent | Thu, Jan 16th 10:11am EST

Luke Kornet set his career-high and led the team with 35 minutes played in last night's win over the Wizards. He scored 10 points on 4-of-10, making only 1-of-5 from deep. He grabbed four rebounds, had two assists, two blocks, and a steal.

Fantasy Impact:

Kornet has already been seeing an uptick in minutes with Wendell Carter Jr. out with a high ankle sprain. Rookie Daniel Gafford dislocated his thumb a minute into last night's game and Kornet had to step in as the next man up. Carter Jr. and Gafford will both be missing the next few weeks, so Kornet will get an opportunity to play. His production has been mediocre and he doesn't elicit much fantasy value. Both he and Thaddeus Young will benefit from these injuries, but Young is the only one worth a look in fantasy.
